Dr. Jessica Gardner graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She worked at Banfield, Pet Hospital of Liberty until December 2013 when she joined the Excelsior Springs Animal Clinic. Dr.Gardner is no stranger to the Excelsior Springs Animal Clinic, having worked at the clinic as a veterinary assistant since 2001 (through 2010) under the guidance of her mentor, Dr. Pete Rucker. It has certainly been quite an experience watching the clinic grow over the years. She enjoys practicing general veterinary medicine and surgery, especially with a dedicated and caring team who are always looking to improve their clinical knowledge and skills. Dr. Gardner is a member of the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association- 3 organizations designed to further the quality of veterinary medicine. She is also a member of the Missouri Academy of Veterinary Practice, which encourages Missouri’s veterinarians to stay up to date with science, technology and medical practices for the betterment of the veterinary profession and consuming public. Along with her husband, Rob, and their three children, Dr. Gardner shares her home with a large rambunctious dog, Ninja, an aging fat cat, Georgie, and a clinic-rehabilitated squirrel, Butters (who is strictly outside!).
